PROJECTS AND PARTNERS

SPECIAL CASE STUDY №1

Description of situation: For the implementation of the project for the supply of industrial equipment to India, the contract holder of which is private company, the most efficient supply scheme was developed and implemented, which made it possible to ensure minimal costs for tax payments, transport and customs costs. The main feature of this case was the need to ensure the successive transfer of ownership of the equipment supplied between such jurisdictions of participating companies as Spain, Czech Republic, Estonia and India, provided that the goods were moved directly from the manufacturer in Spain to the seaport of shipment from the EU.

  • Client: EU engineering company selling industrial equipment

  • Trading countries: Spain, Estonia, Czech Republic, India

  • Transaction price: more than 7 million dollars for each contract

  • Task: to structure the transaction in order to reduce currency and tax risks, organize contracting and logistics support for shipments, ensure the interests of all participants in the supply chain

  • Savings: VAT excluded in all countries along the route of the goods, logistics is optimized, the average savings amounted to at least $1.5 million

SPECIAL CASE STUDY №2

Description of situation: The solution for this task was developed by our specialists based on knowledge of Turkish legislation. The contract holder is a non-resident company in Turkey, which supplies to the Turkish customer with goods manufactured by the Turkish sub-supplier. The goal of the study was a shipment algorithm, in which the Turkish manufacturer would not have to pay VAT in Turkey when selling goods to a non-resident, and the burden of paying VAT would fall on the shoulders of the final Turkish customer. The final solution was formed through a combination of customs regimes, under which the goods are formally exported from Turkey. This method satisfies the interests of the contract holder and the manufacturer, since both companies are exempt from most customs and tax payments, and transit costs are much less than potential VAT costs.
